As seen today on Gamespot Live, Metal Gear Solid granddaddy Hideo Kojima finally let the cat out of the bag and ended the weird pantomiming he had to do with The Phantom Pain. If you weren’t in the loop, KojiPro released a teaser trailer for a game called “The Phantom Pain,” supposedly developed by Moby Dick Studios under the direction of one Joakim Mogren. They even went as far as shipping out a Swedish dude to do an interview as Joakim (it’s an anagram for “Kojima,” see) on an infamous episode of GTTV.
Anyway, this just confirms what we all knew anyway.
Short list of details so far:
- The Phantom Pain + Ground Zeroes = Metal Gear Solid V
- Big Boss has his “old” voice — no more David Hayter this time around
- Releases on PlayStation 3/Xbox 360
UPDATE: Trailer’s up!
UPDATE 2: Konami confirmed that Ground Zeroes and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain are two seperate games.
